Mother Nature Derails Fourplay at Sea Breeze Jazz Festival

Mother Nature came to visit the Seabreeze Jazz Festival in Panama City for only the second time in 14 years, not allowing Fourplay to give the stellar performance fans had come out to see.
Fourplay would like to apologize to everyone who came out to show their support and brave the elements. Fourplay hopes to see everyone out there next year for what will be a memorable show!

Jazz Group Fourplay Runs on Mutual Respect

Fourplay will play two sold-out shows this weekend at Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild.
It may surprise fans of contemporary jazz that Fourplay is still going strong after 20 years. However, Nathan East, the band’s bassist and occasional vocalist, might beg to differ, “given the fact that we all have such mutual admiration for [each other], playing together, hanging together.”
You can thank pianist Bob James’ long-standing custom of working with countless other musicians for the germination of the all-star band that plays the Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild’s Jazz Hall on Saturday, touring behind its latest release, last year’s “Let’s Touch the Sky.”

Well, jazz is definitely an improvisational music based on the blues developed in the United States with African origins.
From there we can have a conceptual free-for-all about the various elements and what makes what authentic. The players in the longstanding contemporary jazz band Fourplay have likely heard it all.
